2014 Race Results

Thanks to everyone who came out Saturday to the Fat Bike Summit Expo and Races! More than 100 fat bike racers participated in the races and turnout was solid for the Expo activities. It was a great day and a great event! We apologize for any lingering discrepancies in the results but hope you had fun no matter where you finished. At the end of the day, that’s what Fat Bikes are all about – having fun. Thanks again and see you next year!

Race Course and Sponsor Updates

The site of the Fat Bike Summit Expo and Race showcases Ogden City’s sprawling views and proximity to recreation access.  Just 5 minutes away from downtown, Mt Ogden Golf Course fat bike race features rolling hills and plenty of vertical to keep you challenged.  The advanced course is approximately 25 k total distance and 2800 total vertical change.  All racers will make their way around the professionally groomed race course 4 times passing through the Expo sponsored by Borealis and the TRP Brake Zone where locals will cheer you on and true friends will heckle you!  There is also a shorter course option totaling approximately 15K.

The Expo will feature Fat Bike demos, scheduled free activities and plenty of snow fun to be had.  Get your buds signed up for the fat bike jousting or the bucket ball event!  Surly, Salsa, 45 North, TRP Brakes, Borealis Bikes, 9zero7, Bar Mitts, Raceface, Paul Component and local shops are among some of the committed sponsors and vendors so far with more to come.  The general community is invited to participate in the snow zone events and encouraged to try out the demo bikes.

Sponsorship Updates

We are happy to announce that Borealis and TRP have joined Salsa Cycles, Surly Bikes, and 45N as sponsoring vendors of the 2014 Global Fat Bike Summit and Festival. Stop by each of their tents on Saturday to see what hot, new winter products they are showing off. While you’re in the expo area, make your way to Bar Mitt’s tent and Ogden’s own The Bike Shoppe to see what these additional vendors have to offer.
