A select 30 fat bike riders can participate in a guided fat bike tour in Grand Teton National Park as part of the Global Fat Bike Summit and Festival held at the Snow King Resort in Jackson, WY January 23 – 25.
Done in conjunction with Jackson-based Teton Mountain Bike Tours, this is the only opportunity to ride a fat bike in Grand Teton National Park. Currently, fat bikes are banned from national parks like GTNP and Yellowstone.
“This is one of the reasons for this Summit,” said Scott Fitzgerald of Fitzgerald’s Bicycles. “We’re trying to show public land managers that fat bikes should be an allowable use in National Parks. These tours will show how safely fat bikes can coexist with other winter recreation in our National Parks.”
